Daisy's new life

I was in Naperville last week to check on Daisy's progress with Mom. She has become quite the barker! She barked when I put my luggage in the car at the airport, when I arrived at Mom's house throughout the week, and when I took my luggage out at the airport to return to Albuquerque. She is a happy girl! Of the photos above, one is blurry because Ginger nudged my elbow as I was taking one of Daisy. I know that was a message!

January stuff

I've been slacking– I didn't realize it had been almost three weeks since I posted last. Mostly all has been quiet around the Linn-Gust house (translation, no recent visits to the vet). Hattie has been hanging out on the deep end of the pool. She loves to roll around on the pool cover. I wish I could join her but I stepped on it once and ended up with wet feet. Hattie obviously weighs much less than I do. Nestle is her usual self, proving she has no sense of personal space as she stood on top of me while I was reading a book not too long ago.

Happy new year and Chaco's birthday

Happy new year everyone and happy birthday Chaco! He is eight today and has been with us six years. The dog that started all my dog madness! Seems like just yesterday that we walked him home from our neighbor's house where we were going to "try" him out for the night. He was so quiet that we hardly knew he was around, but we quickly realized we were going to be his new pet parents and have tried to give him the best home possible. Oh, that's my lemon lime souffle pie in the photo for our new year's shindig last night.
